Blaen Wern Farm Trust

Giving sick and disabled children the natural therapy of the countryside

FARM TOUR

ABOUT THE TRUST

The BWFT was established seventeen years ago as a non clinical means of promoting a positive mental and emotional state in sick and disabled children by informally introducing them to the joys of the countryside and of the animal world.
We welcome sick children and their families or carers who have been nominated as likely to benefit from the natural therapy that the countryside provides.
Since the Centre was first opened, more than three thousand disabled children and their carers from all parts of the United Kingdom have experienced the magic of Blaen Wern.
The Trust operates from a residential Centre with swimming pool etc. which was purpose built in 1988 on 160 acres of beautiful West Wales.

"What words can possibly convey our sincere gratitude to you for providing such a wonderful stay - thank you seems so inadequate.  It all merges into a wonderful, wonderful memory."      School for disabled children.
