THE CENTRE AT BLAEN WERN

Purpose built in 1988 to give people with health problems, and their families and/or carers, full board countryside accommodation, therapy and recreation tailored to meet their needs.

There are nine bedrooms, all with en suite facilities - seven are for wheelchair access, with wheel in showers, support rails etc. - and each room also has an independently controlled radiator, colour TV and tea coffee makers.  The Centre has recently been the subject of a £150,000 refurnishing and refurbishment programme.

"Thank you for the warmth and friendship you have shown us in this little piece of heaven.  It is truly a wonderful place you have created."      Parents of disabled child
The dining and lounge areas are of open plan design to overcome any mobility or sensory problems.
"A truly magical place.   From the moment of arrival everyone has been so kind, helpful and understanding."        Parents of disabled child.

There's an integral heated swimming pool with hoist, and to make sure that parents and carers can relax and 'switch off' in the evenings, there's also a bar.
